Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an AI Engineer III to join the Blue Ring software team. You will develop AI/ML capabilities for ground systems, focusing on multi‑agent monitoring, anomaly detection, retrieval‑augmented generation, and time‑series model deployment on spacecraft telemetry.

You will build production‑ready AI services, with CI/CD, observability, and operator collaboration, in a safety‑centric, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/ML/EE or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with AI/ML in production.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one AI/ML framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Hands‑on experience building multi‑agent systems or LLM‑based applications in production.
• Experience designing RAG pipelines with vector databases and retrieval strategies.
• Experience with time‑series ML models for telemetry data.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices including version control, testing, and operations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and iterate AI/ML systems serving satellite fleet operations.
• Translate designs into production‑ready implementations with observability.
• Develop multi‑agent systems coordinating telemetry analysis and planning.
• Implement RAG pipelines and vector database strategies for accurate answers.
• Establish confidence scoring and human‑in‑the‑loop decision workflows.
