Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff AI Engineer for our 2nd Horizon team, focused on AI-powered features across large datasets. This remote role targets candidates in Germany and nearby regions, with an emphasis on practical GenAI solutions and scalable delivery.

You’ll own end-to-end AI features, iterate rapidly with real users, and collaborate across teams to integrate agentic components with internal tools. Compensation is defined for Germany, with equity and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, context engineering, and building applications powered by GenAI.
• Proven track record of delivering software that made it into production and is actively used by users.
• Exposure to working in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver AI solutions: take ownership of developing high-performance AI features for large datasets.
• Rapid experimentation and iteration: prototype, test, and validate with real users, shipping LLM- or agent-powered workflows.
