Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced AI engineer to join our national security team as an Applied AI Engineer. You’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain ML models at scale, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and solutions architects to deliver AI-enabled solutions for mission-critical needs.

You will apply best-fit ML algorithms, prototype AI use cases such as chat systems and copilots, and ensure secure, compliant delivery while supporting enterprise data capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering, applied AI/ML, or full-stack development including AI integrations.
• Prototyping, developing, and iterating AI solutions such as chat systems and domain copilots.
• Evaluation and tuning of AI outputs, prompts, and retrieval logic; custom heuristics.
• Experience with Python and building API endpoints (FastAPI/Flask) or rapid UI frameworks (Streamlit/Gradio).
• Collaborate with Mission Integration teams and stakeholders to translate needs into AI capabilities.
• Ability to pivot between domains and use cases to meet operational requirements.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree required.
