Compass seeks a Senior Software Engineer on the Staff AI Enablement Team to drive enterprise AI strategy by delivering direct integrations and automated pipelines for multiple business units. Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade web applications or backend services.
• 1+ years of experience building applications utilizing LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI pipelines.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to scope, design, and deliver data-driven AI integrations.
• Strong focus on data privacy, security, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with RESTful/GraphQL APIs, messaging, and async processing.

Responsibilities

• Build direct business integrations by translating tasks into automated AI pipelines.
• Orchestrate agentic workflows with multi-agent patterns and RAG pipelines.
• Leverage Tier 1 AI Platform APIs and provide feedback to influence platform design.
• Ensure security compliance and protect PII across integrations.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and maintain high delivery velocity.
• Monitor and improve operational metrics and logging for integrations.
