Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Camera AI team, shaping practical AI solutions for home protection and daily convenience. You will work on computer vision, sensor fusion, and ML across edge and cloud environments, collaborating with embedded, apps, platform, QA, product, and UX teams.

The role focuses on scalable AI design, data pipelines, and production monitoring to continually improve customer value in a fully integrated smart home ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in AI/ML, data curation, model training, evaluation.
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, Python, Shell, Embedded Linux, Git.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable AI features and products.
• Collaborate with embedded, apps, platform, QA, product, UX teams to deploy AI solutions.
• Create, test, and refine ML models for edge and cloud environments.
• Develop pipelines for data management including curation, visualization, annotation, and training.
• Monitor and maintain AI features in production to ensure value.
