Job summary

Vivint is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Camera AI team in Utah. You will help shape practical AI solutions for home protection, sensor fusion, and computer vision across edge and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with embedded, apps, platform, QA, product, and UX teams to deploy scalable AI features for a large customer base, while monitoring performance and iterating improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in AI/ML and computer vision.
• Data structures, curation, annotation, and pipelines.
• Programming proficiency: Rust, C++, Python, Shell; Embedded Linux; Git.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable AI features and products, focusing on customer benefits and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (embedded, apps, platform, QA, product, and UX) to deploy AI solutions to a large customer base.
• Create, test, and refine advanced ML models, optimizing for edge and cloud environments.
• Develop comprehensive data management pipelines including curation, visualization, annotation, and model training.
• Monitor and maintain AI features in production, iterating improvements based on customer value.
