TikTok is hiring a Senior AI Software Engineer for Creative AI Agents in San Jose. You will define the technical vision for the AR Effect Generation AI system, own its architecture end-to-end, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.

You will lead research and productization of generative and agentic AI for visual content, balance latency and safety, and guide experimentation and observability to drive measurable user impact.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for TikTok's AR Effect Generation AI system.
• Own end-to-end architecture and development of the AI system from design to rollout.
• Lead research and productization of generative and agentic AI for visual and 3D content.
• Establish experiments, evaluation, and observability with metrics and AB testing.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and AI/ML partners to translate needs into strategy.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting ownership and innovation.
