Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale production-grade Agentic AI systems that drive measurable business outcomes. You will work at the intersection of Data Science, ML Engineering, and Software Engineering to translate AI concepts into enterprise-ready products.

You will develop scalable applications powered by LLMs/SLMs, RAG frameworks, and autonomous agents, building orchestration layers for multi-agent workflows and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI/ML engineering or software engineering with strong Python development skills.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade AI solutions using LLMs, SLMs, RAG frameworks, copilots, agents, and multi-agent systems.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals: transformers, embeddings, deep learning, prompt engineering.
• Experience building orchestration layers and integrating AI with enterprise platforms and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Delivery focus: collaborate with UX, engineering, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable ML solutions; ensure quality and change control.
• Learning: continuously explore modern software design, ML tech, and best practices; pursue new technologies used across tech orgs.
• Support: monitor production, assist other teams, manage SLAs, review performance and capacity of production systems.
