Job summary

Marlabs is seeking a Senior AI Engineer – Bioinformatics to design, develop, and scale data-driven web applications for scientists and researchers. You will work across the stack, building backend services and elegant frontends while collaborating with UX, scientists, and engineers to create high-impact tools.

You will lead AI initiatives, including Generative AI with LLM platforms, prompt engineering, token management, and advanced conversational AI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development in enterprise environments, with strong Python proficiency.
• Hands-on experience building AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM API integrations and prompt engineering.
• Experience with enterprise integrations (Microsoft 365, Graph, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence) and REST APIs.
• Expertise in secure application development (SSO: SAML, OAuth2, OIDC), API gateways, middleware, and secrets management.
• Experience with modern DevOps, cloud-native development, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable full-stack applications and AI-powered solutions using Python and modern technologies.
• Build and integrate Generative AI capabilities with LLM platforms, including prompt engineering and context management.
• Develop agentic workflows, tool integrations, and function-calling to automate complex business processes.
• Integrate enterprise apps with platforms like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Graph, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence via secure APIs.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and secrets management in line with enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver, deploy, and improve applications via CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices.
