Job summary

Pan.bio is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to advance Generative AI capabilities across our biomedical data platform. You will design and deploy production AI systems, build agentic features, and drive data-driven improvements in real-world workflows.

This role requires 4+ years in AI/ML, strong Python and cloud experience (GCP preferred), and a track record with LLMs, tool calling, and AI evaluation. You will collaborate with engineers, bioinformaticians, and product teams in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• 4+ years in AI/ML engineering, data science, or related field.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems and intelligent applications.
• Develop AI agents, agent skills, MCP integrations, RAG systems, and workflow automation solutions.
• Build reusable AI capabilities shared across products and use cases.
• Evaluate, monitor, and improve AI systems using rigorous experimentation and data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with software engineers, bioinformaticians, and product teams to solve real-world challenges.
