Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to integrate AI into core operations and develop AI-native products. You’ll own the full lifecycle from scoping with business stakeholders to production-grade design, development, and deployment across internal platforms.

You will mentor engineers, establish AI standards, and drive reusable services for agentic systems while collaborating with multiple teams in a hybrid, high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience with increasing seniority
• 3+ years in applied AI building agents and context/harness engineering
• Proven production AI deployment experience and familiarity with agent frameworks
• Hands-on experience building tools and integrations for LLM-based systems
• Strong context engineering skills including prompt design and memory management
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to scope AI opportunities
• Strong Python programming skills and cross-language capability
• Experience with AI evaluation, observability, and benchmarking
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI agents and agentic systems across internal platforms
• Own scoping and discovery for AI initiatives with business stakeholders
• Build and enhance the agentic control plane
• Apply context engineering to build reliable AI systems
• Establish best practices for agent development, evaluation, and observability
• Lead architecture decisions for agentic systems across multiple teams
• Design benchmarking and evaluation frameworks to improve AI performance
• Translate AI strategy into executable technical work
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers
• Produce technical documentation including specs and tests
