Job summary

JTL-Software GmbH in Germany is seeking two AI Engineers to embed reliable AI agents into developers' workflows within a remote-first setup. You will join Engineering Excellence, building an internal agent platform and integrations with Jira, GitHub, and MCP servers to support AI-enabled development across teams.

You'll coach teams on prompts, context, and ticket creation, while running production workflows that balance cost, quality, and reliability of AI-driven actions.

Qualifications

• Several years of software development experience beyond prototypes.
• Clear communication and willingness to share knowledge across teams.
• Hands-on experience with coding agents like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding practical applications of LLMs, context engineering, tool calling and agentic workflows.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and identify required context for AI agents.
• Experience integrating APIs, tools and data sources into software systems.
• Experience building MCP servers, skills and plugins for AI agents.
• Experience with C#, PHP, Node.js, or React.js in real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Enable developers to work with AI on their own—provide context, prompts, and create tickets.
• Be the point of contact for teams, collect feedback, and share learnings across teams.
• Build AI workflows with development teams from idea to production tickets: bug fixes, code reviews, tests.
• Prepare repositories for agents: context files, skills, rules and automated checks.
• Develop internal agent platform and integrate with Jira, GitHub, documentation, code search and MCP servers.
• Run workflows in production: monitor cost, quality of results, and data behind scorecards.
• Evaluate new developments in coding agents, MCP and context engineering for practical value.
