Job summary

Supernal is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design and ship the first generation of personalized, self-improving agentic workflows that users rely on daily. You’ll own the agent runtime, memory and retrieval systems, evaluation harnesses, and product-facing surfaces at scale.

You will partner with platform engineering to extend core services (Django backend, event-driven systems, Kubernetes) while owning critical parts of the AI application layer.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and secure code practices.
• Production experience deploying AI systems for real users.
• Experience building memory-enabled, tool-using agentic systems.
• Comfort across application and infrastructure layers (APIs, queues, data stores).
• Hands-on with at least one agent framework (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI).

Responsibilities

• Design and ship end-to-end agentic workflows and runtimes.
• Build memory, retrieval, and evaluation pipelines for agents.
• Develop voice experiences and real-time/async interactions.
• Create scalable production agent infrastructure with SLAs/SLOs.
• Establish observability, reliability, and security for data access and tool execution.
