Job summary

Lendistry is a leading minority-led lender delivering AI-powered solutions for small businesses and commercial real estate. The Senior AI Engineer will own end-to-end LLM features, including agentic workflows, document intelligence pipelines, and retrieval systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and auditable production deployments.

You will mentor engineers, design new agentic workflows, and contribute to the shared AI platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years building and shipping LLM-powered applications in production.
• Expert-level Python for production systems with clean architecture, type-safe data modeling, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Document intelligence pipelines that read financial documents with audit trails.
• Underwriting copilots that surface risk signals and conditions in real time.
• Borrower-facing conversational AI to help small business owners navigate applications and decisions.
• Contribute to shared AI platform components used by multiple product teams.
• Design and own end-to-end LLM features across origination, underwriting, servicing, and borrower experience.
