Drata is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI systems embedded in Drata’s core platform. You will own end-to-end AI system design, focusing on generalizable capabilities across compliance and security.

The role emphasizes agentic AI, RAG, and explainable outputs, with collaboration across product, security, and platform teams. A strong emphasis on responsible, trustworthy AI and production-readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience in AI/ML
• 2+ years ML/AI engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python; TS a plus for production AI integrations
• Experience shipping LLM-based applications in production
• Familiarity with retrieval, vector stores, and RAG systems

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM-powered, agentic AI systems with multi-step reasoning
• Develop agentic workflows combining retrieval, tools, structured reasoning and human oversight
• Architect and deploy scalable LLM, retrieval, and agent systems in production
• Embed human-in-the-loop workflows, safety guardrails, and auditability in AI systems
