Job summary

Drata reimagines compliance with AI-powered, always-on capabilities. We seek a Senior AI Product Engineer to own full-stack customer features, from UI to backend, turning LLM capabilities into polished experiences — streaming chats, agentic workflows, and intelligent summaries. Collaborate with AI engineers and product/design for rapid iteration.

You'll drive end-to-end delivery, partner on API contracts, and build observable systems that capture AI quality signals for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with full-stack feature shipping.
• At least 2 years building AI-powered product features.
• Strong React and TypeScript UI skills for real-time streaming interfaces.
• Solid Python and Node.js backend experience with API design.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Familiarity with RAG, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agent frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI-powered product features in React/TypeScript and Node.js/Python.
• Translate AI capabilities into user-friendly product experiences for compliance.
• Define API contracts and output schemas with AI engineers.
• Identify model output issues and iterate the product layer accordingly.
• Create user-facing feedback loops to measure AI output quality.
• Instrument features with observability: latency, engagement, task completion.
• Develop reusable patterns to accelerate future AI work and mentor juniors.
