Job summary

Moog seeks a Senior AI Engineer - Agentic Solutions & Digital Thread to design, build, and operate enterprise AI-enabled apps. You will lead multi-site AI initiatives, focusing on agentic architectures, RAG, and intelligent automation within ITAR/DFARS-compliant environments.

The role requires 8+ years in software and 3+ years in AI/ML, strong Python and a second language, and deep Azure cloud experience. Hybrid work from Buffalo, NY is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, AI/ML or equivalent.
• 8+ years in software development; ≥3 years in AI/ML solution development.
• Hands-on with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience designing advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and a second language (C#, .NET, or TS).
• Strong Azure services and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic software architectures with AI agents for code generation, test automation, and documentation.
• Build agent workflows with rules management, auditability, and deterministic logic.
• Develop advanced RAG architectures grounded in enterprise data.
• Maintain vector stores and embedding pipelines with hybrid retrieval.
• Enforce data classification, export controls, and RBAC.
• Develop event-driven integrations aligned to digital thread concepts.
• Create AI-enabled capabilities consuming digital thread events for decisions.
• Ensure deterministic, auditable thread contracts and proper governance.
