Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Manager, AI-Enabled Engineering to lead a 3-5 person engineering team. You will drive AI-augmented development, partner with Product and Design, and establish strong engineering and quality practices to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will hire, coach, and develop talent while overseeing contingent resources, ensuring accountability, and maintaining high standards for delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• 6+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong foundation in software delivery, engineering operations, and technical collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent within fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Experience providing AI-augmented quality oversight through dashboards, metrics, and systemic quality indicators.
• Strong understanding of AI-aware estimation and delivery planning, including recognizing where AI accelerates work.
• Ability to drive outcome-based engineering evaluation with architecture, reliability, and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in delivering sprint and quarterly commitments with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and predictable execution.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to drive roadmap planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery trade-off decisions.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture with engagement, learning, sustainable on-call practices, and proactive debt management.
• Establish and reinforce engineering practices across the team, including code review, testing strategy, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence.
• Build AI fluency across the organization by enabling engineers to leverage AI tools while applying oversight to AI outputs.
• Evolve engineering performance and quality practices with AI-driven metrics and systems thinking.
