Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Women’s Outerwear design experience, with technical, outdoor and performance products.
• Strong understanding of jacket engineering and construction.
• Expertise in women’s fit, proportion, silhouette, fabrication and insulation.
• Ability to merge technical functionality with feminine design and commercial appeal.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing partners to achieve target costs.
• Forward-thinking approach to technology including AI in design and development.
• Portfolio demonstrating substantial Women’s Outerwear experience and technical construction.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative direction and development of Women’s technical and performance outerwear categories.
• Produce technical drawings, detailed tech packs and garment construction details.
• Select materials, insulation systems and trims based on product needs.
• Develop silhouettes balancing fit and technical performance with a feminine aesthetic.
• Monitor market trends and translate findings into new silhouettes and features.
• Collaborate with production teams and overseas partners to evaluate costing and cost optimization.
• Find cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and design intent.
• Incorporate AI-powered technology into design and development processes.
• Research and evaluate new AI design technologies to improve workflows.
• Maintain communication with Merchandising, Production and overseas factories throughout the lifecycle.
