Job summary

Jiffy.com is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to orchestrate AI coding agents and ship production software at pace across our e-commerce platform, from storefront to internal tools. You will lead multiple AI-driven work streams while collaborating with Product, GM's and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years shipping production systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents as a primary tool.
• Proven ability to run multiple agents in parallel without losing quality.
• Strong OO, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems skills.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side language and one frontend stack (Ruby/JS).
• Experience with relational DBs and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Elite code-review skills and clear written communication.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI coding agents across 3–6 concurrent work streams.
• Own features end-to-end: specs, agent plans, implementation, reviews, QA, PRs, production health.
• Design and architect scalable Rails/Solidus-based systems and GraphQL APIs.
• Improve AI-generated code quality and enforce secure patterns.
• Build and evolve internal AI tooling, rules, prompts, and MCP integrations.
• Operate with production rigor: tests, deploys, incidents, service ownership.
• Collaborate with Product/Design/Ops and mentor engineers on AI workflows.
• Automate remaining manual work through agents and migrations.
