Job summary

Jiffy seeks Senior/Staff/Principal Software Engineers to lead AI-driven coding agents across multiple parallel streams, shipping end-to-end features for storefront, checkout, and internal tools. You will architect scalable systems, review agent-produced code, and collaborate with product and design teams to continuously improve automated development workflows.

This role emphasizes AI-native leadership and high autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents as a primary development tool.
• Proven ability to run multiple agents in parallel and manage concurrent work streams.
• Strong software design fundamentals and API design.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI coding agents across 3–6 concurrent work streams.
• Own features end-to-end from specs to production health.
• Design scalable systems across Rails 8 / Solidus e-commerce stack, GraphQL APIs, React frontend, and Kubernetes infra.
• Raise code quality by catching hallucinated APIs and enforcing secure patterns.
• Build internal AI tooling and enhance shared skills and rules libraries.
• Operate with production rigor: monitor deployments, respond to incidents, ensure test coverage.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Ops, and engineering teams; mentor on AI-native workflows.
• Identify and automate remaining manual tasks via agents.
