A Better Life Recovery is seeking an experienced Senior SEO Strategist to drive organic growth across a portfolio of behavioral healthcare brands. This role demands advanced technical SEO, content strategy, local SEO, AI-driven visibility, and rigorous performance analytics.

Reporting to the Head of SEO Strategy, the contractor will own end-to-end initiatives, manage multi-website programs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. This 1-4 month contract has potential to convert to full-time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive, hands-on SEO experience with demonstrated ownership of complex SEO initiatives.
• Advanced technical SEO expertise: structured data, site architecture, JS rendering, crawl optimization, indexing.
• Experience managing SEO for multiple or large-scale websites.
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Semrush or Ahrefs.
• Experience developing and executing content strategies, keyword clusters, and internal linking frameworks.
• Strong multi-location SEO and Google Business Profile optimization knowledge.
• Understanding AI search and emerging organic discovery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct comprehensive technical audits across multiple websites.
• Identify and resolve crawlability, indexing, rendering, redirects, and performance issues.
• Develop scalable website architectures, URL structures, and internal linking strategies.
• Implement and validate structured data and entity relationships.
• Coordinate technical recommendations with development teams and validate implementation.
• Monitor algorithm updates and diagnose organic performance fluctuations.
