Job summary

Houston ISD seeks a technical leader and hands‑on Senior Engineer to design and deliver AI‑enabled applications in a Microsoft‑centric environment. You will drive front‑end and back‑end development with React, .NET, and the Power Platform, while integrating Copilot, Azure AI, and related services for intelligent workflows.

You will mentor developers, architect scalable solutions, and deploy across Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Solid full‑stack development with React.js, TypeScript, ES6+ and responsive UI.
• API design with C# / ASP.NET Core; OAuth 2.0/JWT authentication.
• Strong SQL Server skills; stored procedures and query tuning.
• Experience deploying to Azure and AWS; CI/CD pipelines; monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and lead design reviews; ensure technical quality of team output.
• Lead technical support and maintain comprehensive documentation, release notes, and support materials.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications across full stack and databases.
• Build AI/ML enabled features and copilots; integrate AI capabilities into workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services with secure authentication.
• Apply Agile/Scrum practices and participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) and ensure production reliability.
