Job summary

KiewitTechnologyGroup is seeking a Software Engineer to join the MCP Engineering Team to design, develop, test, and support MCP servers and integrations enabling AI agents and enterprise applications to securely interact with business systems, APIs, databases, and workflows.

The role collaborates with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, QA Engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable MCP solutions with a focus on API/integration work and AI-enabled development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing APIs and application integrations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with cloud-hosted applications.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, SQL Server, and CI/CD concepts.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, Docker, and data integration patterns.
• Knowledge of MCP architecture and Azure services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and tools.
• Build integrations between AI platforms and enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable services, APIs, and libraries.
• Create well-structured, maintainable, and secure code.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions.
