Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• 5 to 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Writes, tests, and documents technical work products according to organizational standards and practices.
• Solves technical problems and builds components/libraries with far-ranging impact.
• Delivers high-quality work and coaches more junior engineers on technical craftsmanship.
• Conducts root cause analysis to identify systemic problems and defines and leads execution of action items to address.
• Designs integrated systems enabling disparate teams to deliver value with speed, scale, and reliability.
• Oversees management of technical debt and drives opportunities to eliminate within ongoing implementations.
• Anticipates scaling, latency, and durability challenges and guides mitigation strategies.
• Partners with security to incorporate security-conscious practices early in the lifecycle.
• Evaluates technical risks and guides toward practical prevention strategies.
• Reflects on squad delivery practices and drives improvements.
• Identifies opportunities for reuse and reduces duplication of effort across teams.
• Explores emerging technologies and prototypes to inform architectural solutions.
