Job summary

Rocket Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end features for client-facing and team member-facing servicing applications used by millions of Rocket homeowners.

You will design, build, deploy, and measure the impact of full-stack solutions, leveraging AI-native development patterns and deploying on AWS/EKS with CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to craft robust, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building production full-stack software across front end and back end.
• Experience with Next.js or React and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS with EKS/Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, testing, observability, and maintainability.
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack features from problem definition through design, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration.
• Design scalable front-end solutions using Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
• Architect, deploy, and operate applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI tools and agentic development workflows to increase engineering speed, improve quality, and raise the bar for how the team builds software.
• Partner with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous business needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and technical strategy decisions that balance speed, scalability, maintainability, and business impact.
• Collaborate effectively across distributed engineering teams.
• Mentor other engineers by sharing patterns, improving team workflows, and modeling high ownership.
