Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its AI and Platform Excellence (APEX) team within AWS UC to help shape AI-driven data integration workflows. You will design, implement, and optimize AI/ML-powered solutions that simplify and scale data processing across AWS products and services.

You will collaborate with data scientists and ML experts to deploy production-grade AI capabilities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML-powered products for data integration workflows which simplifies complexity in data processing/ integration.
• Build and own critical infrastructure powering Amazon's next-generation AI capabilities
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML experts to transform innovative ideas into production systems
• Optimize existing algorithms and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception to production deployment
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development and AI implementation
