Job summary

Payoneer is seeking an experienced backend engineer to take ownership of AI-enabled solutions from problem framing through production delivery. You will work with AI tools daily to raise quality and speed of software delivery, report to a Domain Architect, and collaborate with senior engineering, product, and business leaders on high-impact AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a backend engineer with production AI experience.
• Experience designing orchestration for multi-step workflows.
• Strong metrics-driven approach to validation and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle from problem understanding to production delivery.
• Build AI-enabled solutions using Claude Code, Cursor, and related tools.
• Co-design with stakeholders on decision logic, risk thresholds, success metrics.
• Develop evaluation harnesses before shipping; measurable outcomes required.
• Own production, with monitoring, alerting, and on-call responsibilities.
• Raise the bar in design reviews, code quality, and team practices.
