Job summary

Cvent is seeking a senior, builder-minded Application Security Engineer to go deep on technical challenges and shape how AI reshapes a security program. You will own product security for teams you partner with and drive risk decisions end to end.

You’ll mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, threat modeling, and secure SDLC improvements, collaborating with leadership on ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI efforts. This is a high-impact security role in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application security or secure software development.
• Ability to own security tooling integration into CI/CD and SDLC.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Own product security for assigned product area, lead threat modeling and risk decisions end to end.
• Perform deep secure design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing for complex systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive security automation and agentic/LLM-integrated workflows.
