Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy production AI solutions for federal scientific programs.
Apply LLMs and generative AI to scientific and Earth observation data.
Develop RAG and knowledge retrieval pipelines with embeddings and vector databases.
Collaborate with scientists to translate research questions into AI systems.
Validate outputs against scientific standards with provenance and uncertainty awareness.
Develop agentic workflows and orchestration for analysis tasks.
Integrate LLMs into apps via APIs/SDKs and maintain services in the cloud.
Implement responsible AI practices including auditability and human oversight.
Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
