Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years’ experience with Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• 2+ years’ experience installing, configuring, and using AI/ML tools (Flowise, NiFi, and LLMs).
• 2+ years’ data engineering tasks (ETL, cleansing, wrangling).
• Experience with front-end integrations and enterprise systems is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and LLM evaluation.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AI Developer to join our team. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, collaboration across teams, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality solutions. The position is remote with the possibility of occasional client site travel.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Interview customers to understand and document their current state data analytical needs and how AI solutions can solve those needs
• Elicit requirements and develop technical designs and specifications for new AI solutions
• Install, configure, test, administer, and document the use of AI/ML tools in use within the AI environment
• Design and train machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow and Scikit- Learn for predictive analytics and automation
• Utilize modern AI frameworks to design AI applications that use Language Models (LLMs) and adapt LLMs with prompt engineering and fine tuning. Responsible for the full lifecycle—from addressing complex data analytical needs to shipping production‑ready applications
• Optimize models for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years’ experience with Python and common ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• 2+ years’ experience installing, configuring, and using AI/ML tools, such as Flowise, NiFi, and large language models
• 2+ years’ experience performing data engineering tasks, such as extract/transform/load (ETL), data cleansing, and data wrangling
• Experience performing EDA and interpreting results to share with stakeholders to solicit feedback
• Experience building, training, testing, and deploying ML models
• Experience integrating chatbots with enterprise systems
• Experience with advanced prompting techniques (e.g., Chain-of-Thought, Few-Shot, ReAct) and systematic evaluation frameworks to minimize hallucinations and improve output reliability
• Experience evaluating responses from the LLMs
• Experience in developing and integrating Large Language Model (LLM) solutions with front-end applications
• Experience working with popular cloud platforms (Azure, Web Services, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
• Experience providing services to public sector clients

Security Clearance Requirements

• US citizenship with a Secret level clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel (10% or less).
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co‑workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
