Job summary

Deloitte is hiring a Senior Data Scientist through its SFL Scientific Deloitte Business to design and develop AI solutions for clients. You will define data strategy, build models, and lead AI/ML initiatives across multiple industries.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver impactful AI services, with emphasis on state-of-the-art theory, deployment, and production readiness. The role requires travel and close client interaction.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM field (Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML algorithm development using core data science languages and frameworks (Python, PyTorch, etc.) and data analysis (NLP, time-series analysis, computer vision)
• 3+ years of experience deploying and optimizing ML models using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, TensorRT/Trion, RAPIDs, Kubeflow, and MLflow
• 3+ years of experience in leveraging cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy AI/ML workloads
• Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte's consulting offices
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Preferred: 2+ years of client-facing consulting experience
• 2+ years of leading project/client engagement teams in AI data science solutions
• 1+ year of GenAI/LMM use cases and RAG tools (LangChain, LangGraph, MCP)
• 1+ year of AWS Sagemaker or AWS ML Studio

Responsibilities

• Define data strategy, drive technical development, and create AI tools and services
• Work with clients to understand data sets, strategy, and operational requirements
• Lead AI/ML solution delivery with thought leadership and long-term maintenance
• Research and implement novel ML approaches and hardware optimization
• Validate AI models via code reviews, unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, project managers, and business teams to align with business objectives
• Meet deadlines and provide clear guidance to others
• Lead projects or workstreams
