Job summary

SFL Scientific, a Deloitte Business, is hiring a Data Scientist to collaborate directly with clients to design and develop novel AI projects and solutions. Join a rapidly growing team building a world-class data science practice focused on solving complex R&D problems.

As part of Deloitte's Strategy Offering, you will work with interdisciplinary teams to create data strategy, develop models, and deploy solutions in production, exploring AI, ML systems, and GenAI use cases across industries.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant STEM field
• 2+ years of AI/ML algorithm development using Python, PyTorch, and data analysis (NLP, time-series, computer vision)
• 2+ years applying traditional ML and deep learning techniques (CNNs, RNNs, GANs) across real-world projects
• 2+ years deploying and optimizing ML models using Kubernetes, Docker, TensorRT/Triton, RAPIDs, Kubeflow, MLflow
• 2+ years experience leveraging cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy AI/ML workloads
• Live within commuting distance to Deloitte's consulting offices
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work and clients served
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Guide clients with high autonomy in AI strategy and development, including data exploration, model building, and deployment
• Participate in client initiatives to deliver AI/ML solutions, providing thought leadership and long-term maintenance
• Research and implement novel machine learning approaches, including state-of-the-art training and framework design
• Validate AI models and algorithms via code reviews, unit tests, and integration tests
• Support prioritization of project performance and model development to maximize business impact
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, project managers, and business teams to align delivery with objectives
• The Team: Strategy offering crafts bold strategies to achieve business goals with AI transformation
