Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a senior Data Science/AI leader for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will drive enterprise-scale ML/AI initiatives, design and deploy models (NLP, forecasting, recommender systems), and implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines with governance and bias mitigation.

Strong communication skills and mentoring will be essential. Required: 10+ years in data science or AI, leadership experience, Python production skills, and ability to work within US security

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science / AI with deep ML, DL, and LLMs
• 6+ years leading enterprise-scale data science initiatives
• Experience deploying ML models to production
• Proficiency in Python for production solutions
• Experience with MLOps tools and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with federal AI governance frameworks and risk management
• Strong SQL skills and data visualization experience
• Ability to work in the U.S. and meet security requirements
• Clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust is preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze unstructured data and lead AI/ML initiatives at scale
• Translate business challenges into analytical frameworks and scalable AI solutions
• Develop and deploy ML models including NLP, forecasting, and recommender systems
• Establish MLOps pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects on scalable data platforms
• Demonstrate governance, bias mitigation, and explainability in models
• Mentor data science talent and lead cross-functional teams
• Communicate insights to executives and non-technical stakeholders
