Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and build the AWS-native data foundation behind our enterprise AI applications, including knowledge graphs, semantic layers, and retrieval pipelines. You will steer design patterns and hands-on engineering for data curation, access, and provenance across diverse sources.

You will lead data modeling, pipelines in Python/SQL on AWS, and governance, working with AI engineers and stakeholders to ensure scalable, trustworthy data for AI features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a STEM field.
• At least 3 years of data engineering experience.
• Proficient in AWS data services and Python/SQL.
• Experience with knowledge graphs and semantic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve knowledge graphs and ontologies for AI reasoning and retrieval.
• Align enterprise data into a coherent graph with provenance across sources.
• Own retrieval substrates: graph queries, vector indexes, hybrid retrieval.
• Develop data pipelines on AWS (Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, OpenSearch, Neptune).
• Shape data contracts with AI/ML teams and ensure governance and security.
