Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help shape the next generation of actuarial analytics. You will build modern, agentic data solutions combining ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, semantic data assets, and AI-powered analytics to help actuaries move from data to insight to action.

You will collaborate with actuarial teams and analytics partners to design trusted data products, display rising trends, and support pricing, reserving, underwriting, and portfolio decisions with scalable data

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data analysis, manipulation and development.
• 1–3 years of experience in the insurance or investment industry.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Familiarity with emerging data centric technologies.
• Ability to design, implement, and oversee ETL processes.
• Property and Causality Domain expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build analytics-ready data assets and semantic layers.
• Develop AI-enabled insight experiences and dashboards for actuaries.
• Partner with actuarial teams and analytics partners to surface trends and inform pricing, reserving, underwriting, and portfolio decisions.
