Warp is building autonomous laboratories and seeks a senior, hands‑on AI data builder to own the data that powers our chemistry foundation model, lab perception stack, and robot‑learning system. You will determine what data matters, source or generate it, and turn it into measurable capability gains across open datasets, synthetic data, RL rollouts, expert feedback, teleoperation, and lab execution.

You will connect data sources through Vault and create workflows to make data faster to produce,

Qualificações

• Hands-on ownership from identifying a data gap to building the dataset and measuring results.
• Experience with ML data development: synthetic data, model rollouts, multimodal datasets, or real-world collection.
• Strong understanding of data composition, sampling, demonstrations, rewards, and verifiers and their impact on fine-tuning/RL.

Responsabilidades

• Own the data agenda: translate model failures and lab priorities into a collection and generation plan.
• Develop external data: source and assess chemistry, scientific, and multimodal datasets; build pipelines for labeling, enrichment, and evaluation data.
• Build synthetic data & RL data loops: generate examples, model rollouts, simulated trajectories; define rewards, verifiers, and data filtering.
• Make physical experience useful for learning: design lab and teleoperation data collection with chemists and robotics teams.
• Build AI-native curation workflows: label, enrich, deduplicate, and mine data with quality checks and versioning.
• Measure data by capabilities: conduct data ablation, supervised fine-tuning, and RL experiments; track capability lift and cost per useful example.
• Make the shared data foundation work: ensure ingestion, storage, lineage, retrieval, and dataset delivery with clean interfaces.
