Job summary

Artefact is seeking a Senior AI & Data Consultant to lead analytics engagements and directly interface with clients while actively building AI-enabled solutions. You’ll perform advanced analytics, prototype concepts, and guide clients from experimentation to scalable implementation.

You will work across AI platforms, mentor junior staff, and contribute to proposals and thought leadership while delivering measurable business impact in a fast-paced consulting environment in NYC.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-time work experience, ideally in consulting, data/analytics, marketing, advertising, finance, or tech.
• Strong analytical skills and experience presenting data-driven recommendations to clients.
• Hands-on AI literacy: regular use of AI tools for real work, and demonstrated willingness to build — prototypes, automations, analyses — with AI assistance.
• Comfort with the terminal and with AI tooling (Claude Code, Gemini CLI).
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data analysis; advanced Excel and PowerPoint/Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Define client needs through interviews with client teams and technology partners.
• Perform advanced data analysis and research on high-impact, strategic client problems.
• Help build, formulate, and present strategic data and AI recommendations.
• Keep internal project efforts aligned and on track and interface with clients with confidence.
• Prototype ideas with agentic coding tools to deliver demos or small tools.
• Explain GenAI concepts like prompting, RAG, agents, context engineering to clients.
