Job summary

Bitdeer is a world-leading technology company for AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, seeking a Senior AI Data Center Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate high-performance networks for our GPU clusters in the US.

You will focus on InfiniBand, RoCEv2, and SDN architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support cutting-edge AI training and inference workloads globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in large-scale data center network operations and engineering.
• Deep expertise in the TCP/IP protocol stack and core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and Data Center technologies (VXLAN EVPN, Spine-Leaf).
• Hands-on experience with HPC/AI networking: InfiniBand architecture, Subnet Manager, or Ethernet-based RoCEv2, including PFC, ECN, and congestion control mechanisms.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing data center switches/routers from major vendors (Cisco Nexus, NVIDIA/Mellanox, Juniper).

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, high-availability network solutions for AI Cloud Data Centers (Spine-Leaf, DCN, DCI).
• Design, deploy, and optimize large-scale GPU clusters utilizing InfiniBand and RoCEv2 fabrics.
• Lead deep-dive investigations into complex network issues affecting AI workloads (RDMA loss, latency, NCCL timeouts).
• Develop and maintain network automation tools and IaC using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Utilize monitoring tools like NVIDIA UFM, NetQ, Zabbix, and Prometheus for fabric health.
• Support network integration for Kubernetes/Docker environments and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Lead incident response and change management including RCA.
