Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior AI Data & Analytics Engineer II to shape the data and AI foundation powering scalable analytics, self-serve reporting, and reliable data products across the organization.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambiguous business needs into durable technical solutions, combining hands-on data engineering, semantic modeling, and AI-driven workflow automation with strategic roadmap ownership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering with hands-on data engineering expertise.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong data modeling and DBT experience.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack, including Databricks or similar.
• Experience building semantic layers and structured documentation for AI workflows.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team data initiatives, especially in Marketing, Sales, or Product contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the data and AI foundation.
• Architect and manage the marketing data infrastructure, including ETL/ELT pipelines and core data models.
• Design semantic layers and documentation for self-serve BI and analytics, ensuring data integrity for KPIs.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into clear requirements and scalable solutions while working autonomously.
• Lead cross-team initiatives, managing risks and ensuring data quality in new pipelines and integrations.
• Serve as the senior technical lead, enhancing engineering quality and mentoring team members.
• Drive the strategic use of AI to develop reliable data products and automate workflows across teams.
