Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a Senior Principal Software Developer (AI Cybersecurity) to lead enterprise-scale AI initiatives within the Cybersecurity organization. You will design, develop, deploy, and operate AI-enabled solutions across the SDLC, driving secure practices and engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, advance automation, and collaborate with teams across cloud platforms, data, and security tools to enable threat detection, analytics, and risk scoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience in Software Development.
• 8+ years of production support and design of Cyber Security technologies.
• 8+ years of operational experience with security technologies.
• 8+ years of expertise across the full SDLC including requirements, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, operations, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development: Design, build, and deploy AI/ML and generative AI applications to support cybersecurity operations.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers, establish standards, patterns, and best practices across teams.
• Security Integration: Embed secure coding practices and data protection into AI apps and pipelines.
• Cyber Use Case Enablement: Develop threat detection, alert triage, vulnerability analysis, identity analytics, and risk scoring solutions.
• Automation & Agentic AI: Implement intelligent automation and agent-driven workflows.
• Data & Analytics: Engineer pipelines for logs, telemetry, and security data insights.
• Cloud & Platform Engineering: Deploy AI solutions in Kubernetes/cloud-native environments with CI/CD.
• System Integration: Integrate AI apps with SIEM, SOAR, IAM, and data platforms.
• Governance & Compliance: Align with AI governance and secure SDLC practices.
• Collaboration: Partner across engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, cloud, data, and AI governance teams.
