Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Infor, seeks a software engineer to design AI tooling that optimizes AWS spend across its development and product estate. You will write code and build tooling, integrating cost guardrails into the SDLC so overruns are prevented and issues can auto-resolve.

You will partner with hundreds of engineering teams, embedding cost intelligence into workflows and collaborating with Infor's FinOps group to translate cost strategy into production software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Deep AWS experience including cost and billing services.
• Proven automation and data-pipeline experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with AI agents and LLM-related cost drivers.
• Strong technical project management and cross-team communication.
• BS in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI tooling to monitor, forecast, and auto-resolve cloud cost issues across AWS accounts.
• Integrate cost guardrails into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines to catch overruns early.
• Lead multi-team tooling efforts and align with executive goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with FinOps and platform teams on budget controls and governance.
