Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer for Code Intelligence & Quality Validation in San Jose. You will shape Code Graph capabilities, enable static and dynamic validation, and work across client, backend, and infrastructure teams to integrate these tools into real-world development workflows.

You will design scalable architectures, analyze production issues, and leverage AI techniques to improve code reliability and R&D efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field; 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, C++).
• Strong system design and software architecture skills with clear module boundaries and interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale or complex engineering projects and production deployment.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, and problem abstraction skills.
• Curiosity and ability to learn from docs, source code, and papers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Code Graph capabilities including static relationship extraction and dynamic trace processing.
• Contribute to architecture and design of core systems with focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Build static validation capabilities using code graph to mine and validate constraints.
• Develop dynamic validation for production issue detection, reproduction, root cause localization, and fixes.
• Analyze complex production quality issues using code, traces, and runtime signals to identify root causes.
• Understand code organization, module dependencies, build pipelines, and runtime behavior in large client apps.
• Explore code analysis techniques and AI-assisted methods; apply to real-world engineering problems.
• Collaborate with client, backend, and infrastructure teams to adopt Code Graph and Quality Validation in workflows.
