Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an AI Lead to define the technical direction and oversee delivery of secure, scalable AI/ML solutions in federal and regulated environments. You will guide cross‑functional teams, establish AI governance, and ensure responsible AI practices align with security and policy requirements.

The role spans architecture, leadership, and hands‑on delivery across cloud and on‑premise platforms, with emphasis on measurable outcomes and enterprise readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS) and enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to executives and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define AI strategy, roadmap, reference architectures, and engineering standards.
• Lead end‑to‑end AI/ML delivery including data ingestion, model development, deployment, and sustainment.
• Architect secure, scalable solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Establish and oversee MLOps and LLMOps practices for testing, release management, and observability.
• Guide build‑versus‑buy decisions; run proofs of concept for enterprise capabilities.
• Implement responsible AI, model risk management, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and agency policies; oversee security controls.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams; communicate options and risks to executives.
• Monitor model performance, drift, latency, and cost; drive continuous improvement.
