Job summary

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Lead AI Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale AI solutions with a strong engineering foundation.

You will own AI solution architectures for agentic workflows, tool ecosystems, and model provider integrations across our software ecosystem. You will lead the design and deployment of complex RAG architectures, vector databases, and MCP servers, partnering with engineering, product, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Experience in AI/agent development strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own AI solution architectures spanning agentic workflows and multi-model orchestration.
• Lead design and deployment of RAG architectures and vector database strategies.
• Architect MCP servers and tool schemas for LLM tool-use integrations.
• Drive integration with model providers (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) and define standards for model selection, routing, and fallback.
• Establish observability, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation frameworks.
