Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC seeks a Senior AI Architect for Computer Vision to lead the Wind Engineering CV CoE, establishing reusable patterns for detection, 3D reconstruction, edge/cloud deployments, and governance across engineering initiatives.

The role guides data annotation, model development standards, evaluation protocols, and multimodal vision solutions to deliver reliable, measurable inspection capabilities across manufacturing, labs, turbines, drones, robotics and service contexts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a quantitative degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Hands-on experience building, validating, deploying, and monitoring ML/DL models in real-world settings.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimental design, calibration, and uncertainty.
• Proficiency with Python and data science frameworks (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost).
• Experience with time-series or industrial data, sensor quality, and non-stationary contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Computer Vision Center of Excellence for Wind Engineering and standardize workflows.
• Define dataset governance, labeling taxonomies, and data versioning with quality controls.
• Establish evaluation protocols and metrics for CV systems across conditions.
• Architect 2D/3D/Multimodal solutions and manage edge/cloud/hybrid deployments.
• Design human-in-the-loop workflows and ensure auditable inspection evidence.
