Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Staff Security Engineer focused on AI/Agent Security. This remote US role offers mid-$200Ks in cash compensation plus meaningful early-stage equity.

You will build security products for AI agents and agentic infrastructure, develop scanners and detection pipelines, and help defend a rapidly evolving AI attack surface. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software/security, hands-on Python, and a track record of building security tooling and production-ready

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software/security engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Proven track record building security tooling or products.
• Experience designing scanners, parsers, rule engines, and detection pipelines.
• Solid understanding of modern application and API security.

Responsibilities

• Build security products for AI agents, MCP servers, skills, and agentic infrastructure.
• Develop scanning and detection capabilities, including parsers, rule engines, analysis pipelines, and automated security checks.
• Identify and detect risky or unauthorized AI/agent activity across enterprise environments.
• Work across application security, endpoint detection, API security, software supply chain, and AI/LLM threats.
• Design security capabilities from initial threat research through production implementation.
• Help define how enterprises secure a rapidly evolving AI attack surface.
