Job summary

OpenArt seeks a senior or staff engineer to lead the agent harness architecture powering our chorus of creative AI experiences. You will own tool use, memory, planning, orchestration, and multi-model workflows, building MCP servers and CLI tooling while shipping frontend experiences for agent-driven products.

The role requires 7+ years of full-stack engineering and 2+ years building production-grade LLM-powered agents, with strong system design, leadership, and a bias toward reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack engineering shipping production systems at scale
• 2+ years building LLM-powered agents in production
• Strong system design and data modeling skills
• Experience authoring reusable Agent Skills or structured workflows
• Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural influence
• Excellent communication with founders, product and design

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of the agent harness (tool use, memory, planning, orchestration)
• Design long-running planning and multi-model workflows across vendors
• Build and maintain MCP servers and CLI tooling connecting agents to services
• Create reusable Agent Skills and structured workflows for engineers
• Develop evaluation and observability stacks with automated evals and tracing
• Drive reliability, latency, and cost per successful run as core metrics
• Ship production frontend experiences (React/Next.js) for agent-driven products
• Set engineering standards and mentor the growing team
• Monitor agent ecosystem and decide what belongs in OpenArt's stack
• Partner with founders, product, design, and GTM to translate needs into direction
