EY invites you to join Challenger, a new EY program focused on building the firm’s next generation of services. Lead the creation of long-running AI agents, enterprise integrations, and robust toolchains in a hybrid work model.

You’ll own architecture, tooling, and risk controls across complex workflows, delivering verifiable outcomes and safe, steerable behavior. With 9–12+ years of software or ML experience and a Bachelor’s degree, you’ll influence product quality, security, and performance

Formación

• Production engineering: Strong software engineering and distributed-systems judgment.
• Agent architecture: Reason about planning, tools, state, handoffs, coordination.
• AI patterns: Model APIs, structured outputs, context, retrieval, memory, tool use.
• Evaluation discipline: Measure complete trajectories and outcomes.
• Security and operability: Least privilege, observability, recovery.
• Product judgment: Balance quality, latency, cost, user control.

Responsabilidades

• Choose the right execution model and architect deterministic or agent-based workflows.
• Build dependable tools with clear contracts and safe error handling.
• Engineer agent behavior including planning, routing, delegation, retries, and handoffs.
• Create durable context combining instructions, user state, memory and environment feedback.
• Bound agent authority with scoped identities, budgets, and containment points.
• Evaluate complete trajectories with tests for verified outcomes and safe operation.
• Operate long-running execution with durable state, checkpointing, and graceful degradation.
• Make behavior observable with traces and replay to diagnose failures and inform improvements.
• Protect user control with clear intervention points for inspection and redirection.
• Build shared capability by partnering across teams and publishing reusable patterns.
