Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment, a John Deere dealer, is seeking an experienced Advanced Service Technician to diagnose and repair agricultural and turf equipment in shop and field settings. You will follow manuals, mentor apprentices, and stay current with John Deere products while delivering dependable service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of service experience, and a valid driver’s license; CDL and forklift credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred.
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and forklift license preferred.
• Experience with Service ADVISOR or other computer-based diagnostic tools preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural equipment and technology; may work on competitive equipment.
• Repairs at the shop and in the field as required.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Participate in John Deere University and dealer training.
• Maintain knowledge of John Deere products and safety rules.
• Mentor Apprentices and Students as requested.
• Complete reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Support customer clinics as needed.
